Greek Nights come to Bishop’s Stortford

This summer, a taste of Greece is arriving in Riverside Walk. They have a number of special evenings planned throughout July and August. A 3 course set menu will be on offer, with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts for an all in price of just £19.95pp. There will also be a selection of Greek Wines and Beers, in addition to the popular brands. Treasure Trail Winner 2022

Thank you so much to everyone who came to see us on Saturday at the carnival fun day. We had a great time meeting you all. We had a fun competition on the day to find where the Queen’s treasure was hidden around the town, congratulations to Jean who correctly guessed it was in Oak Tree Close, square C5. Carnival & Family Fun Day 2022

The Carnival and family fun day came to town on Saturday 18th June. A fantastic Parade went through the town centre with a Royal Theme for the day. Jubilee Shop Window Competition

The Bishop’s Stortford BID in conjunction with the Bishop’s Stortford Town Council organised a window competition to show off the fabulous efforts so many people have gone to. Shops and businesses were asked to enter their Jubilee window display into the competition and make a voluntary donation of £10 to one of the Queen’s Charities. These range from well-known charities such as the British Red Cross, smaller charities like the Reedham Children’s Trust, to regiments in the Armed Forces. Discover Queen’s Jubilee Free Trail Event is coming to Bishop’s Stortford

The Bishop’s Stortford BID and the Bishop’s Stortford Town Council are excited to be able to bring some Jubilee fun to the town centre to join in the festivities. Take up the challenge to find 9 crown stickers which have been popped in shop windows around the town centre. Using the trail map, you’ll be able to walkaround and find them all. As you find each one, write down the letter displayed next to it. Once you’ve found all 9, you’ll be able to rearrange them to spell out a Jubilee themed word. Mayor’s Charity Event

The next and final Mayor’s Charity event is Elvis in the Building at South Mill Arts on Thursday 7th April. This promises to be a great evening! This is a fundraising event for Retune, a local charity that provides  mental health and wellbeing therapy through music.  They visit schools, hospitals, prisons, universities, as well as live gigs and one on one sessions as well as live public gigs that promote mindfulness and wellbeing, providing a safe space without judgement where performers and audiences can share songs, stories and experiences.
