Cyber & Fraud prevention – Free event

Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Serious Fraud & Cyber Unit is proud to announce a series of training & awareness talks, in partnership with Hertfordshire Libraries, which will take place across the county. The BID is voted in for a second term

We are delighted to confirm following an extensive consultation and then a 28 day voting period, the Bishop’s Stortford BID has been re-elected by town centre businesses for a new 5 year term, starting on 1 April 2023. This is great news for our town, as the business plan is all about making Bishop’s Stortford and even better place to live, work and socialise. The BID is pleased to be organising another Job Fair in the town centre, in partnership with the Bishop’s Stortford Independent. TK Maxx / Jackson Square Update

Revised plans for the redevelopment of Jackson Square have, been approved, with work set to take place throughout 2023. Following feedback from the Bishop’s Stortford community, Legal and General, owners of Jackson Square Shopping Centre, worked with the Council and local authorities over the last 12 months to amend their original proposal and maintain an entrance to the shopping centre via Bridge Street. We join with the rest of our nation to mourn the loss of our Queen and our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time. Books of Condolence have been opened and are available in the Tourist Information Centre 09:30 to 16:00 Monday to Saturday except 12:20-1:00 when it is closed for lunch and in the Town Council Office Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:00.  The books will close at 16:00 on the day following the funeral.
