Marketing & Communications Manager
We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic individual to join us, with a pro-active attitude, experience and ability to work independently and as part of a small team as required. You will help devise and manage the delivery of the marketing and communications plan, for both the businesses and consumers. The role also includes providing general office support in helping to deliver BID projects.
Key Details
- Reports to: BID Manager
- Position: Part time, 3 or 4 days per week, flexible for the right candidate. Occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working.
- Salary: £28-30k based on full time working, salary to be pro rata
- Holiday entitlement: 25 days p.a. plus public holidays
- Location: Bishop’s Stortford town centre
- This position is permanent but please note that the BID is about to start the first year of its second five year term (running 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2028). Applicants should therefore be aware that whilst the plan is that the BID will seek a third five year term when it goes to ballot in 2028, there is the possibility that this role could terminate on 31 March 2028).

Essential Skills
- At least 4 years marketing experience.
- Strong IT skills, including knowledge of Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Excellent social media knowledge and skills.
- Clear communication (both oral and written).
- Working knowledge of website management, ideally WordPress.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Good planning and time management skills.
- Flexible approach to changing priorities and requirements.
