The annual Bishop’s Stortford Pride event celebrating lgbtq+ communities will take place over two days, Friday 28th July and Saturday 29th July. Everyone is welcome! Want to know more about what’s happening, tickets and how to get involved?
On Friday 28th July, South Mill Arts Centre will be hosting an evening with Adam All Drag King from 7pm, followed by Karaoke (sorry, Queeraoke!) at 9.30pm. This is an 18+ event. To buy tickets, go to https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873647902
Saturday 29th July is all about the parade and fun day. The parade starts at Sworders Field at 10.45am (meet from 10am). Participants will walk in solidarity through Bishop’s Stortford; travelling down Dane Street, past the train station towards the centre of town and then along the river to South Mill Arts, arriving around 11.45am. It’s free to join in, just reserve a spot here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stort-pride-festival-2023-tickets-641341027277
An afternoon of fun and entertainment will follow at South Mill Arts until 4pm. Come and enjoy Jamaican drums, live music and beat box performances. Food vans and a bar will also be available together with kids activities and community stalls and workshops.
Roll on another great day in our community!
