Late night shopping – Entertainment – Giveaways

Join us for some festive fun and late night shopping in Bishop’s Stortford on Thursday 2 December. In the afternoon we have fun for the children and evening entertainment from musicians and choirs for all. Many retailers will be open until 8pm, with treats and offers in store. This is a festive day not to be missed!

Shopping: A perfect opportunity to get lots ticked off that Christmas list in one night. Many retailers will be staying open until 8pm and have extra treats in store as well. Visit us in Jackson Square on the day to pick up your FREE cotton shopping bag and a guide detailing who is open and what’s on. Inside ten lucky bags you will find a Discover Stortford Gift Card worth £50 to help you get started with your Christmas shopping!

Eating & Drinking: Whilst in town, why not stay on after your shopping for dinner and drinks? All the restaurants, pubs and bars will be open.

Afternoon fun: From 2 – 5pm we have free face painting in Jackson Square for the children. Rapunzel and a Christmas Elf will be out and about in the town centre, feel free to say hello and have a photo with them. We also have a pop up from the Little Arts Workshop in Jackson Square.

Evening Entertainment: We have music on the night from duo Paddy and Lloyd (5-7pm in South Street) and the Gospel Choir (North Street) and the Bishop’s Stortford Rock Choir (Market Square) will both also be singing for us. The Woodwind of Stortford band will be in Waitrose.

Giveaways: Come and see us in centre of Jackson Square from 2pm to pick up your free tote shopping bag and guide for the day. There’s the chance to win one of ten £50 Discover Stortford gift cards. We also have the following giveaways:

Meet Father Christmas: The Be a Santa event is back for the 8th year and will be starting on Thursday 2 December, bringing cheer to the old and young. In partnership with Home Instead Senior Care, children are invited to bring a gift for an elderly person to the grotto, in the former Body Shop unit. In return, they will meet the big man himself.
