East Herts district and Bishop’s Stortford town councils have been working with the Bishop’s Stortford British Legion to create a fitting tribute on Thursday 6th June.
Residents are invited to Castle Park to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day from 6.30-9.30pm.
There will be live music from Bishop’s Stortford Band and vintage trio The Rockabellas from 6.45pm. A bar, courtesy of PEACH. on Church Street, will be available for the occasion, plus fish and chips. Remembrance will start at 8.40pm at the War Memorial and be followed by the lighting of the beacon.
