There were a number of nominations in for the December award, which presented Cllr Keith Warnell with a tough decision to make, but one company stood out for their support of other local businesses and encouraging us all to shop local this Christmas. I am pleased to announce the winners of the December award are Enable Independent Financial Planners.
The North Street based firm ran a daily competition on social media in the run up to Christmas and involved several of town centre independent businesses and Eric the Elf! Eric made his way around the town popping up in different shops and cafes along the way to help promote them. Each day people were asked to guess where he was, with one lucky winner awarded a prize for guessing correctly.
The Mayor was impressed by their involvement in the community and their support of these businesses. Congratulations to Sam who came up with the idea, Managing Director Mike Cooke and all the team.
