Cocktail Bar idea wins Unique Hairdressing the Mayor’s Award for October

Posted: 05/11/2021

Congratulations to Unique Hairdressing on Bridge Street, part of the Jackson Square shopping centre for winning the Mayor’s Award for Business for October for an innovative business idea. Always striving to offer the best service to their customers, this family run business is really living up to it’s Unique name! The business is owned and managed by husband and wife team Michele and Anna Pelosi, but it was their son Mattia who had innovative idea to put in a cocktail bar, so their clients can really enjoy their visit. It was this fantastic idea which really impressed Mayor Cllr Keith Warnell this month.

They were nominated by Bronwen Woods of Saffron Walden, who said:

Unique has always offered exceptional customer service and hygiene standards all throughout this pandemic (of course only when allowed to be open) and I have known and had my hair cut and coloured there for several years. This last time I went in for a cut and colour to my astonishment they had added a bar with a really good selection of drinks, I had a prosecco and strawberry drink. I think this is a novel idea, for me I am retired and can relax at any time but for those at the end of the day having your hair washed etc and a nice relaxing drink…what better way to end the day!

A great example of our town centre business going above and beyond both during the pandemic and as they work hard to bounce back now. Congratulations to Anna, Michele, Mattia and the team.

We’re now accepting nominations for your November business of the month. Why not nominate your favourite town centre business and tell us why. Just send it in via email on info@bishopsstortfordbid.co.uk. We look forward to receiving them.
