Cyber & Fraud prevention – Free event

Posted: 01/11/2022

Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Serious Fraud & Cyber Unit is proud to announce a series of training & awareness talks, in partnership with Hertfordshire Libraries, which will take place across the county.

The first event is in Bishop’s Stortford on 23 November at the library.

This is a free event open to anyone to drop-in at any time to chat with Fraud, Cyber and Trading Standards specialists. They will be on-hand to listen, advise and signpost. Throughout the day, there will also be scheduled talks which anyone can attend; no prior booking is required. These events are suitable for all ages and especially valuable to those who seek in-person fraud and cyber crime prevention advice, are less tech-savvy, or whom may be considered vulnerable.

There are scheduled talks throughout the day:

  • 11.00 – 12.00 – Cyber Crime
  • 12.15 – 1.15 – Fraud Crime
  • 2.30 – 3.30 – Scam Aware
  • 3.45 – 4.45 – Cyber Crime

No need to book, just turn up on the day. More details on Hertfordshire Libraries website www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/libraries and download the poster here.
