Happy birthday to Barnes Flooring who are celebrating 70 years of trading!
Third generation owner, Sarah Barnes and family (pictured here with some of the team), are quite rightly proud of this fantastic achievement.
Barnes has long been known for offering flooring at the cutting edge of design and sustainability, as well as long-establised names and highly experienced fitting services.
It was first established by Sarah’s grandparents Peter and Doris in East London. They later moved to bigger premises in Highams Park. In 1969, sons Roy and Alan (Sarah’s father) joined the family business, expanding to Harlow, Barkingside and Bishop’s Stortford. Their reputation in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding area for quality products, expertise and customer care has continued to grow.
We feel very fortunate to have Barnes at the forefront of our community, another shining example of an independent family run business in Bishop’s Stortford.
